The burns? [There's an exasperated tone to her voice now.] It was...really stupid. When we got inside, it was dark, so... I bended a little fire to give us some light.
I think there was something wrong with the air. The fire kind of...ex...ploded on us.
[there's a long pause, while he gives the phone an incredulous look. He couldn't think of anything that would have that sort of reaction-- and he would have done the same thing]
What happened to being honest? [he asks the phone tiredly. In fact, he was way too tired to argue with her. He just looks up at the ceiling of his room, trying to think of a way to defuse the frustration he was feeling] I would've done the same thing. Started an explosion, I mean.
We found a crazy eyeless girl who had a raven that liked eating eyes. [Mako says after a long pause.] She wanted one of us to stay with her forever, and Sonia almost volunteered.
[he frowns at the ceiling, and weighs what to say in his head]
Well… yeah. We’re all here now, except for the guys I told you about earlier. So we must have been thrown out. [congrats on that non-answer, Mako. But at the same time, what he said wasn’t false, either.]
No, just the riverway that ended up flooding. It was a pretty short trip, all things considered.

I'm not sure what she was guarding, but it must've been important, even though she acted like she was really lonely. Who knows, maybe she actually was. I wasn't inclined to trust her.
Yeah. Whatever she used though, it kind of reminded me of... I don't know, dark spirits? One minute she was just a girl, the next she had these extra appendages. If we ever did go back, we'd have to be on guard for them.

Made it out okay, but two of the people with us didn't.
