[ The moment all the chaos unleashed in the city, Souji was out the door. It didn't matter that he was still recovering from the car crashes (even if he got all healed up) or that he was still sleep-deprived. If he has the power to help out and to stop what's going on, he's not going to just sit around and wait for something to change. So with his new shovel companion (who insists on following him around), he hits the streets and starts hitting everything he sees. Sometimes it's with his Personas, Mada with fire and Kohryu with lightning, sometimes it's with his new shovel (whose face goes from :D to D: real quickly), and sometimes he's not even battling things and he's just trying to escort people or heal them up. It's definitely taking a toll on him, but he's used to pushing himself. ]

[ So Mako! Where are you in all this? Do you see Souji with his weird monsters being summoned? When he's healing the wounded? When he's beating the living shit out of this thing? Or when he's outnumbered by these guys? ]

[As Mako rounds the corner, he sees the monsters and stops in his tracks. His eyes get drawn to Souji just based on their placement, and he almost misses one of the non-friendly monsters coming his way. It's only at the last second that he leap frogs over it, landing on his feet.]

Holy.... What are those?

[they looked like... spirits?]

[ With just one enemy left, Souji uses Mada to set the last monster on fire, causing it to let out a piercing scream and quickly disappear into a black mist. It's only after this that Souji notices Mako coming up behind him. ]

Ah...

[ Souji looks up at Mada (who just stands there floating in the air) and then back down. ]

Don't worry, he won't harm you.

[ Not exactly answering Mako's question but look, Souji still looks as exhausted as he did the day that Mako took him home so don't expect him to be super coherent. ]

[didn't we talk about this souji... Didn't we. He pulls his eyes from the persona, and down to Souji and he frowns judiciously. That look was far too familiar, and it was unfortunate that they were in the thick of things]

... Are you alright?

[he thinks... this is Souji. Yu's tired face was completely different. But... most of all, he was worried. This much lack of sleep can't be good for anyone.]

[ Souji just nods before he calls Mada back, the Persona disappearing just as quickly as it appeared. ]

Yeah, just a little worn out but I'll be fine. [ Don't these words sound familiar... ] How about you? Are you hurt?

[he doesn't trust those words, but he's... going to let it slide. For the moment, at least. There's a time and place-- and unfortunately, this isn't it.

But he's coming after your inbox soon, souji. believe.]

I'm fine.

I make it a point to be hard to hit.

[said with... a touch of smugness-- which he then interrupts to grab Souji and pull him out of the way as a little cherub looking thing zooms right over their heads.]

[ what are you going to do in his inbox, mako, just what ]

[ Oh boy, looks like they got company... At least it's just one cherub and not a whole bunch so back to killing monsters. ]

Are you ready for one more fight?

[tell you he's worried. gosh souji.]

[hopefully these aren't the cherubs made out of metal and stuff he fights later... it's brutal.]

Yeah. [he just needs a good object for hitting them, which a stray bat is perfect for. He grabs that.]

[ ew, mako leaving his worried feelings all over souji's inbox. no thank u ]

[ souji brings out his shovel companion once again and instead of bringing back mada, souji summons kohryu, the large dragon hovering over the two. if mako and souji don't beat this karpoi to death then kohryu definitely looks like it's ready to eat them at any moment. ]

Be careful and let me know if you need healing at any point.

[ one of the main reasons why souji has kohryu out early so he can heal either himself or mako in a flash but also to try and intimidate the cherub to leaving. instead, it doesn't seem bothered and it actually calls for reinforcements so uh-oh, here's about six of them now, all ready to attack. and with very little warning, they all start charging! ]

Here they come...!

[it's happening. it rly is. just you freaking wait, sooj. Still..

Mako looks like he's ready to take on some stuff, with his handy bat! And unlike later in the week, he's unharmed, full of energy, and hasn't had to deal with sudden, massive infections from nonexistent wounds thanks to dark energy. yay.

As a karpoi approaches, he gives his bat a nice, good swing.

he is stronger than he looks, and that thing is clean down the street.]
